Enchanting Porto Cervo
Nestled along the stunning coastline of Sardinia, in the region of Costa Smeralda, Porto Cervo is an Italian seaside resort known for its stunning scenery, luxury lifestyle and glamorous nightlife.
The picturesque village has been named one of the most expensive resorts in the world, along as being a luxury yacht magnet and billionaires' playground.
Historically a small fishing village, Porto Cervo has transformed into a prestigious resort that is a favorite among the elite. Created by a group of foreign investors around the early 1960s, Porto Cervo is the main centre of Costa Smeralda. It has only 421 residents.
The region’s rugged coastline is decorated with beautiful coves and beaches, while the vibrant nightlife adds an extra layer of charm.

High-End Shopping Experiences
The town is home to numerous designer boutiques and luxury brands, catering to fashion aficionados and discerning shoppers.
Global names like Gucci, Prada, Bvlgari and more can be found nestled within the picturesque streets, offering an unparalleled shopping experience.


Gastronomic Delights in Porto Cervo
Gastronomy in Porto Cervo is another highlight, with a plethora of dining options catering to all tastes.
From chic beachfront restaurants to Michelin-starred establishments, the culinary landscape is vibrant and diverse.
Some examples of fine dine restaurants and elegant bars are:
Frades Porto Cervo - overlooking the marvellous Cala di Volpe bay you can taste the heart and soul of Sardinian food and wine in a relaxed atmosphere.
ConFusion - Michelin starred boutique restaurant in the heart of Porto Cervo which invites with a fine dine experience, created by chef Italo Bassi.
CUE Porto Cervo - vibrant poolside venue in Liscia di Vacca combining a Brazilian-style restaurant with good music and sublime drinks.
Crazy Pizza - a playful dining experience which is hosting Pizza lovers worldwide to celebrate summer on the Costa Smeralda.


Vibrant Nightlife and Entertainment
In the summer during the day it is hot and the place is quiet with a small number of tourists walking around.
As the sun sets over the horizon, Porto Cervo transforms into a hub of nightlife, with an array of bars and clubs offering entertainment late into the night.
The atmosphere is electric, as locals and tourists alike gather to enjoy cocktails, live music, and dance until dawn.
The marina's area is one of the social hubs in Porto Cervo. Here are located some of the restaurants and bars that gather many people to party until early hours.
The marina is also home to spectacular ultra-luxury yachts of very wealthy people.
The area was under reconstruction during my visit in June 2025.
The most popular nightclub in Porto Cervo is Flavio Briatore's legendary Billionaire Club.
The Billionaire is offering luxury dining paired with entertainment and live shows, a multi-dimensional playground for celebrities and affluent people.
Another place that promises an unforgettable night is Phi Beach. Phi Beach offers summer parties right by the sea featuring an impressive DJ line-up, unrivalled sunsets and an incomparable open-air nightclub experience.




Exclusive Events and Cultural Experiences
Porto Cervo hosts a range of exclusive events and cultural experiences that draw an affluent audience from around the globe. From yacht shows and car festivals to fashion events, the town pulsates with energy during the summer season.
The renowned Yacht Club Costa Smeralda regularly organizes regattas and sailing events that showcase the world’s most luxurious yachts.
Cultural experiences are also plentiful, with art exhibitions and music festivals adding to the vibrancy of the region.

Among the most popular beaches is Spiaggia del Pevero, which is renowned for its turquoise waters and beautiful scenery.
Other notable beaches are Capriccioli and Principe.
Capriccioli is a picturesque beach with several small coves, surrounded by granite rocks and Mediterranean vegetation.
Spiaggia del Principe is often called the "Tahiti of Sardinia," This beach is known for its turquoise waters and fine white sand.
Going to the south is Porto Rotondo, a charming town with several beaches, including those within the Gulf of Cugnana and the Gulf of Marinella.
For those who enjoy marine activities, organizing a sailing trip or yacht rental is a popular choice. Exploring the surrounding islands and hidden coves allows visitors to experience the beauty of Sardinia’s coastline from a different perspective.

Perched on a hill you will find Stella Maris Church. Built in Mediterranean style in 1968, this church offers not only a glimpse into local religious practices but also breathtaking views of the surrounding coastline.

In Conclusion
Porto Cervo may not be the first destination that springs to mind when planning a trip to Italy. For some people it may not be their type of place considering the strive for ostentation and demonstration of wealth typical for Porto Cervo.
Nevertheless, if you are in the region of Costa Smeralda, paying a short visit or diving into the nightlife of this exclusive resort may be a memorable experience.
